The Lord gave us great weather for the March campfire rosary. A light sweater was all that was needed. But it was still dark since that Friday was before the time change. The 9th Grade Confirmation class led us in the Preparation Mysteries, since we were preparing for Lent. These mysteries are based on the Joyful Mysteries and are a part of the Seven Day Bible Rosary. This Bible Rosary consists of 8 mysteries based on our traditional mysteries and scripture. Google it.
The Confirmation class did a great job. These teens led the adults through the Rosary. It can be scary talking out loud in public especially when most of us are strangers to them. A special thanks to their teacher Joann Davis for bringing them together for this rosary. So lets pray for these teens that they will continue in their Catholic faith and continue to be a part of the Catholic Church.
The April campfire rosary should be led by the Men of St. Joseph. We will say the Sorrowful Mysteries to stay with the liturgical season. It'll be a busy Friday. Come and enjoy the Fish Fry, then stay for Stations, and finally come to the campfire. We should still have some daylight at 7 PM and but rain is predicted. So bring a blanket if you want to sit more comfortably on the benches. Or bring a chair to sit back and be even more comfortable.
