Well, it's September and our first Friday Campfire Rosary is here again. The warm weather will still be here, but no rain. Rain moved the July Rosary in the gazebo for the 3rd or 4th time this year, more than other years. It's cozy in the gazebo. But sitting around the campfire, in the open, watching the flames, and praying, lends a calming effect. It helps focus and meditate on the prayers we say.
Our August rosary intentions coincided with Father's Healing Masses on Friday. We said the Luminous Mysteries with meditation prayers for the sick. It was nice that people came after Mass to say the rosary. It's only 17 minutes extra, per Archbishop Fulton Sheen. So make the most of the First Friday's. Start with Confession and Mass and Adoration and end with the Rosary.
So join us Friday at 7 PM for our Campfire Rosary. Bring a chair if you want a more comfortable seating than the benches. Bring a rosary or we have rosaries to share. Bring a friend to share in prayers and fellowship.
