Welcome back to Religious Education at St. Anne Bellview! We are so excited to start the school year with you. During this unpredictable time, we will do our best at St. Anne’s to provide a safe and healthy learning environment for our students and their families. This means several changes to our classrooms and procedures. This notice will outline the safety precautions we will be taking to keep our parish safe.
Pick up/Drop off
To allow more interaction between teachers and parents we will be allowing parents to walk their student to and from class every week. Everyone who enters the building will be required to wear a mask and have their temperature checked. These precautions will help to elevate the stress some of our families may have about the spread of Coronavirus.
Temperature
Teachers/volunteers will be taking the temperature of all parents and students who enter the building. This will be done with non-contact thermometers. We ask that you do not bring in your student(s) if he or she is running a temperature or otherwise showing symptoms of COVID-19.
Masks/Social distancing
All students and staff will be required to wear masks while in the building, especially during class time. We will also be practicing social distancing as much as possible during this time.
Classroom materials
Sharing classroom materials will not be possible this year. Instead we have arranged for each student to have their own gallon sized baggie filled with their workbook, writing utensils, art supplies, and anything else they may need on a week to week basis.
Clean Classrooms
On a similar note, the classrooms will be cleaned before and after we use them each week. Rhonda, our custodian, has agreed to take on this task. Any families who would like to can bring in some donations of sanitizing wipes, gel, and other cleaning materials for the teachers to use during class.
